Neurologists, psychologists and even medical doctors now acknowledge that the energies of appreciation, joy and gratitude are key elements for sustaining good health and happiness. Buddhism has many practices that contribute to this well being and in particular is the cultivation of joy and appreciation. We don’t have to be any different than we are, nor improve ourselves to appreciate what is already living inside of us. This day will be dedicated to five of the eleven traditional practices of cultivating appreciation and joy.
There will be guided mindfulness and joy meditations, time for group inquiry and a dharma talk. This day welcomes beginners and senior practitioners from the LGBTQI and Gender Fluid community.
