CANCELLED: Cool Off and Refresh During A Day of Practice with Lorene Jabola
August 10 @ 9:30 am - 4:30 pm
In the midst of a desert summer day, we might find ourselves with unquenchable thirst, overheated, and exhausted. Under such conditions, our practice might be off-kilter, too! During this daylong our practice will be our focus as we caringly provide ourselves the space, time, and support to replenish mindfulness practice in the company of like-minded friends. The theme of the day will be “Nibbana – Cooling Off.” The day will be similar to what one might experience on an extended residential retreat: alternating between periods of sitting, walking, Dharma reflections, and heart meditations. There will be practical skills instructions and opportunities for questions/answers. Cost: The registration fee for this event is $40 with a sliding scale. This fee is shared with the teacher, however does not mean the costs of the event or the teachings are fully covered. A dana offering (voluntary donation) may be made at the event, and we encourage you to offer as much support of generosity as you are able. Please know that our policy is that no one is ever turned away for lack of funds. You may contact the event coordinator if you need a full scholarship.
