Pride Parade
Yay! Our first time marching as a community, supporting our LGBTQ+ community. Letting Palm Springs know that we are here as a refuge for all people, especially those marginalized by dominant culture. And! We get to march with our friends from UUCOD and Desert Outreach Synagogue. We will be walking behind our new banner (pictured above), wearing our new ICD t-shirts.
If you would like to march with us, please attend our organizing meeting on Sunday, October 27 @ 6 pm (just after the Dharma talk). We’ll tell you when and where you need to meet on parade day, share the safety details and distribute t-shirts. We have ordered shirts for those on our sign-up list, but don’t worry if you are not on the list. We ordered extra shirts. Please be prepared to reimburse us $20 for each shirt.
We’re very excited to march as a community: LGBTQ+ and straight allies we can all celebrate together.
