Daylong: The Heart at Home. Loving what is

Daylong with Ian Challis
Join us at our first in-person Daylong in 2 years!!!
(Zoom access will also be available for out of town sangha, and others not able to attend in person)
Mettā is the energy and practice of love, it offers us a way of being with the unfoldings of life that is kind, intimate, and wise. Life is asking us to be present with sensitivity and care.
In this world so in need of love, the beautiful Buddhist practices of mettā, karunā (compassion), muditā (appreciative joy), and upekkhā (equanimity) offer us a time-tested, effective means to bring more of these healing qualities into our experience and the world we share.
Together, we will explore these powerful energies by actually practicing with meditations that are designed to support and evoke them. Over the course of our time together we’ll explore each of the brahmaviharas with time for questions and reflection.
This event is appropriate for all levels of practice, all that is needed is curiosity and your presence!
In-person Participants will meet at Unitarian Universalist Church of the Desert (UUCOD). The facility requires that all who enter are vaccinated. If you have not shown proof of vaccination before, please be prepared to show it at the door. We would also like to remind you to bring your own lunch.
Zoom Participants will receive the zoom link in the confirmation email.
