SUMMARY:Meditation and Dharma Talk with Mary Stancavage (*In-person* & Online)
DESCRIPTION:This hybrid Sunday Meditation and Dharma Talk will be held simultaneously in-person and live online from 4:30 p.m. until 6 p.m.  \nThere will be time for meditation\, a dharma (teaching) talk by one of our regular or guest teachers\, and time for your comments and questions. Please join us whichever way you feel most comfortable. Everyone is welcome. \nThe in-person event will be held at Unitarian Universalist Church of the Desert in Rancho Mirage. This will be our last in-person meet up for a while. In 2023 we anticipate that all of Insight Community of the Desert’s regularly scheduled sits – those held on Sunday\, Tuesday\, Wednesday\, and Friday – will be held over Zoom only.  \nThe reason for this change is that hybrid meetings (in person meetings at UUCOD simulcast on Zoom) have been sparsely attended and require a good deal of volunteer time to produce as they involve synchronizing an on-line and in-person meeting. If you would like to help produce in-person events\, the board invites your participation in the planning and host committees. \nThe ICD board intends to organize a number of such events throughout the year – our teachers and others will continue to offer retreats and classes in the coming year. \nAbout the Teacher: Mary Stancavage \nCovid-19 Protocol \nThe UU church in Rancho Mirage is graciously offering use of their space for this event — and asks the following: \n\nProof of vaccinations is REQUIRED. You must show either a physical card\, a photocopy or a digital vaccine record. You can obtain a digital vaccine record at https://myvaccinerecord.cdph.ca.gov/\nMasks ARE REQUIRED.\nArrive early to show proof of vaccination.
